Student Visa FAQ's
Q1: Will I be required to take an IELTS test as part of my Student Visa 500 application?
You may be asked to provide proof of your English language skills at any moment during the application process. IELTS/PTE/ TOEFL is the world’s most common English language competence test for study, work, and migration.
Q2: What should I do if I wish to change my mind?
Your visa may be affected. You can also contact us since we can guide you and save you a lot of time and trouble.
Q3: What kind of welfare arrangements must be made for candidates under the age of 18?
Choose a student guardian. A parent, legal caretaker, or a relative over the age of 21 can serve as a student guardian. He or she must hold a visa to remain in Australia until you reach the age of 18 or for the duration of your student visa. Plan with your education provider for a Confirmation of Appropriate Accommodation and Welfare (CAAW). Request that they issue a CAAW and notify the Department of Home Affairs of your welfare arrangements’ start and end dates. If you are a secondary exchange student, you must get an Acceptance Advice of Secondary Exchange Student (AASES) form. Signed copies of the CAAW should be attached to the student visa application. If you are a Foreign Affairs or Defence student, get the relevant minister’s approval for your welfare arrangements.
Q4: What are the working rights on Student visa 500?
The student visa 500 permits you to work up to 20 hours per week or 40 hours every two weeks. Once the course begins, you will be able to start your part-time work. International students enrolled in ACT public schools, on the other hand, are permitted to work a maximum of 10 hours per week throughout the academic school year.
Q5: Is it possible for me to travel on my visa?
With a valid visa, you can go outside of Australia and return as many times as you wish.
